About the Owner
I have always had a passion for harnessing the power of technology to solve problems. After receiving my Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue, I joined Bell Laboratories where my team redesigned the computer that controlled the Long distance network.
After a 25 year career that look me around the world, I moved back to the Kansas City area where I retired to start this company.
Our Goals
The goal has always been to help provide peace of mind. That was to be accomplished in three initial directions:
- Help seniors stay in their homes longer by providing automation to allow them to safely navigate their homes and monitoring to get them help when they need it and to let loved ones know they are OK.
- Enable people to protect their homes and businesses from both criminal and environmental threats
- Provide intuitive monitoring and control of your home even when you are away
Our Process
We strive to make the entire process a positive experience.
- It starts with a thorough sales consultation where we discuss your options for protecting your property.
- You are given a written proposal with a couple options, so that you can select the combination of features that best fits your needs. You are encouraged to take as much time as you need to make your decision
- Our experienced technicians will quickly and professionally install your new system or upgrade your existing one. After the installation, they will train you on the use of the system and help with any set-up you require.
- Finally, we will monitor and maintain your system.
Our Mission
Our mission is to demonstrate our commitment to your security and peace of mind with every interaction. Our team is obsessed with customer satisfaction and protecting Kansas City Area Homes and Businesses
- No Pressure Consultations

What to Avoid
Purchasing a Security system is an important decision. In order to feel comfortable that you made the right choice, you need to be confident that you weighed all your options. You should be cautious of:
- Door Knockers, with a van waiting down the street to install
- Telemarketers, with "amazing one-time offers" only to bait and switch later
- "Fine Print" with long term contracts, or equipment you don't even own
- Proprietary DIY brands that you have to monitor through them, or not at all.
- "One-Mans Shows", they may mean well, but often lack responsiveness
What to Expect
Our Approach to Home Security
When you contact us we will gladly answer any questions you have over the phone or schedule a free consultation. We prefer see your property in-person before selling you a security system though. This is because we want to make sure the system meets all of your security needs and that nothing is accidentally overlooked. You will be given a written, no obligation estimate that is good for three months, so you won’t feel pressured.
Secure the Doors
The first priority is to protect the doors, since that is where most intrusions originate. The sensors will consist of magnetic or roller ball contacts mounted to the door or in the door frame. These security sensors can be wired or wireless.
Secure the Windows
The next point of entry is windows and sliding doors. We normally secure the most vulnerable windows first, which are:
- Ground Accessible windows
- Sliding Glass Doors
- Window Wells
- Back of house
Protect the Interior
Interior protection starts with motion detectors and glass break detectors. Motion detectors will trigger regardless of how the intruder got in. We also monitor for smoke, carbon monoxide, flood, and freeze conditions for complete protection.
